Weaving in the time of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The weaving studio is open again!

As always, safety is The Chicago Weaving School’s top priority and we depend on your cooperation and participation.

To adhere to social distancing guidelines, classes are limited to 5 students at a time. This ensures individual work stations are 12 feet apart.

Students and teachers are always required to wear a mask while in the space. Students must wash their hands upon entry, and pass a touchless-thermometer temperature check.

Every weaver will keep their belongings to their workstation and there will be no shared food, utensils, tools, or equipment. The instructor will provide each weaver with their own tools, bobbin winders, etc. during class.

We disinfect all tools and surfaces after each use.

We use strategic placement of cross breezes, and ample ventilation in the school’s large studio space to ensure continuous fresh air.

Stay safe and stay creative.
